Astronomy Club of Kosovo / Klubi i Astronomëve Amator të Kosovës (ALB), is made of a young group of people who love Astronomy and aim towards bringing the science of Astronomy and its beauty closer to the people of Kosovo, Albania and the region.

The group initially came together as only lovers of astronomy, with simple tools that each member of the group had in their homes, slowly growing into a more serious group with scheduled meetings for stargazing, discussions about astronomy and ways that the group can impact the community of both countries.

Our NGO has been registered in late 2014, since we have seen interest towards astronomy and realized that we need to grow our community and find ways to support our activities.

Born in Belgium in 1957 (from a Belgian father and an American mother). Here, everything seems a lot more complicated: more taxes, more government, more languages, more people per square kilometer or mile, more light pollution, but, nevertheless, as much passion for things going on up there, naturally or man made. This was thanks to the first time I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey back in 1968, followed by the promises of the Moon. One weakness was my dislike for maths, which led to human science studies (law and a specialization in insurance). I've been working since 1982 in the insurance world. But the real interest has always been space and in 1994, I joined an astronomy club in Brussels. I became its president in 1999 and , with a bunch of friends, several ETX90 telescopes and 20x80 binoculars, we regularly go to a small road, away from any light, and enjoy stargazing whenever opprtunities allow for it. Since 1997, I've been using the internet to gather more and more information about space related discoveries, issues and to make friends from all over the world! We share the same passion for space and it's great! My favorite motto would be: "Ne fais pas à autrui ce que tu ne voudrais pas qu'on te fit" "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.

My story is easy. July 20, 1969 I remember that day, like so many watching T.V. a man was actually walking on the moon. That night I went outside to look up and to see them, needless to say I couldn’t see the men or the spaceship or anything on the surface of the moon. The next day my Father got me my first telescope to use and have never stopped looking up.
Thanks to new technology via the internet I can look deep into space through telescopes from sites around the world all while sitting in my house.
I have also continued following space exploration. Again sitting in the comfort of my home and thanks to the internet I can follow such things as the International Space Station as it circles the earth.
As the National Coordinator for Canada I invite you if you are ever visiting to hook up with a local astronomy club. I have contacts with astronomy clubs across Canadian who will be more than willing to have you join in.
As a professional amateur astronomer and a citizen standby astronaut I enjoy exploring a new adventure very day!

I am the weekend events coordinator (voluntary position) at the Planetarium Science Centre, Accra, Ghana. We have 2 types of weekend events - meetings of the Astronomical Society of Ghana, and public events, which may include hands-on activities for children, planetarium show or telescope viewing.
I am currently studying astronomy online, and also go into schools presenting science and astronomy sessions.

I am an amateur astronomer and teacher of English. I created Crete Astronom Friends Club in 2007 and was president for 4 years. Now I coordinate the educational programmes and public outreach programmes for the Club. I love Astronomy and children.

Eyad is the founder of the Association of Young Astronomers (AOYA) in Erbil, Iraq. He is an amateur astronomer and former physics teacher/lecturer at multiple international schools and institutes in Erbil.

AOYA's goal is to educate school kids and the public in the Kurdistan Region (northern Iraq) about astronomy and related sciences to help people better understand and appreciate the world around them. This vital knowledge will help youth and adults accept religious, political, social and cultural differences.

Astronomy data analyst at the University Observatory in Vienna, Austria. Official designated contributor to forward all NASA information pertaining to the APOD project through the Serbian version of the APOD site, executive officer in charge. Astronomer in charge for translating ESO texts to Serbian, as well as ESA liaison for information distribution to Serbian language social network outlets, translator of IAU-Astronomy Outreach Newsletter in Serbian language, and translator of Hubbles Picture of the Week, publisher of weekly astronomy journal "AAO - Aktuelna Astronomija Online".

I am a member of AstroGEDA, the astronomical group of Elche and the person in charge of the meteoric area. I make radio programs every Monday to publicize the astronomical news. I give lectures in schools and institutes to disseminate and publicize astronomy at all levels.

Since March 2017 I am a member of the Federation of Astronomical Associations of Spain (FAAE), formed by 61 associations and more than 6300 amateur and professional astronomers.

We participate in all astronomical activities that are proposed nationally and internationally: GAM, Asteroid Day, InOMN, Stars Partys, etc.
Since 2018, I am responsible for the InOMN activities in Spain within the FAAE and at the beginning of December I signed an agreement with NASA as a partner for a better development of InOMN in my country.

On a personal basis I have discovered an asteroid and 6 supernovas. I have collaborated in the discovery of 42 brown dwarfs and in the study of CO2 at the poles of Mars.
