Teachers, librarians, amateur astronomers, and museum educators from across the United States have joined you in wanting to keep the excitement about the Sun going after the eclipse on August 21 has passed. We would love to have even more join us! Please share this exciting opportunity to extend the eclipse experience and learn more about the Sun and its light with others. Countdown to the eclipseThere are about 2 months until eclipse day! Are you in the path of totality, or partial eclipse? Do you have events you are planning on attending or even hosting? Want to know what is happening around your area? Visit https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/event-locations to view a selection of local events from across the country. The eclipse is a perfect event to inspire wonder and curiosity about the Sun. There are many activities and learning opportunities for you created to help you make the most of the eclipse excitement for your group! We shared a few in our last newsletter. Here are some more:
Safe viewing practices are important for a good eclipse viewing experience! Eclipse viewing glasses have lenses of special filtering material that allows viewers to watch the eclipse without risk of damaging the eyes. AWB have these glasses available to you, at a very low cost, in our store. Click here to purchase for your viewing event! |
