Moon-party in Arnhem, the Netherlands

On the 15th of June 2011 we observed a total lunar eclipse from the Arnhrem city park "Hoogte 80".

Volunteers of Sterrenwacht Presikheaven put up six telescopes and gave explanations to the audience and interviews to several journalists.
More than sixty people turned up to see a beautiful dark red Moon rise over the skyline of Arnhem.



We were lucky with the weather: many places in the Netherlands were cloudy, but we could see the full event from 10 pm till midnight without interruption!



The photo above was taken a few minutes after totality ended.
 The photo below was taken half an hour later, at 23:30 CEST (Central European Summer Time).
