Live Talk on Stellar Evolution

Bangladesh Astronomy Research Center (BARC) is going to organize an event on “Live Talk on Stellar Evolution.” This event is jointly organized by “Bangladesh Astronomy Research Center (BARC) and Tunisian Association of Young Astronomers.” This is the very first international collaboration between them. Asteroid Day 2020 Kick Star in Goyaz

Starting the work of the international day of Asteroid, the Gunstar team taking advantage of the partial eclipse of the moon, we organized a meeting at the traditional meeting point in Goiânia, Morro do alem. Following all the guidelines of the Health Authority, wearing masks, observing social distance and using Alcohol for hands and without touching telescopes a good number of enthusiasts attended the event, a very positive result shows that Astronomy can adapt to the new reality and continue to serve the public in a safe and peaceful way. Today I distributed the 100YearIAU-Report in Austria. PUBLIC OUTREACH WORK DURING COVID19 TIMES

Here in Linz we (Kepler Observatory Linz / Kepler Sternwarte Linz) have the great opportunity to use the technical features of Ars Electronica Center to do several kinds of astronomy outreach activities during Covid19-times. The Ars Electronica Center is a modern museum of future and at time delivering any kind of sciences and arts to the homes. The center is distributing live-streams, presentations and science talks via Internet under the title "Ars Electronica Home Delivery" . AWB and Ciencia Puerto Rico Spyglasses featured in July Sky & Telescope, pages 74-5

Draco Productions made 100 STEM spyglasses for elementary schools in Puerto Rico. Mike Simmons and Greetchen Diaz coordinated the distribution and spanish language instructions for the 20x30 erect image scopes. Jerry Oltion of Sky and Telescope loved the fact that a good basic scope could be made for under $25, and that the construction could be used as an educational project on optics for school classes and Astronomy and Earth Day activities for whole families. AWB SERBIA - ASTRONOMY QUIZ ON MAY 15th 2020

Every 15th of the month, except in April, AWB is organizing a small quiz featuring 10 questions on a selected astronomical subject. On May 15th, 2020, the 5th year with 41th quiz took place, the theme of the day was: "Electromagnetic spectrum". That was to celebrate Day of the Light on May 16. Venus and the Pleiads

During this pandemic period, I set-up a serie of videos and propose some observations. The Venus passage near the Pleiades makes a good opportunity, so I ask friends to make photos or sketch of this rare conjunction. Our Night Doesn't Need So Much Light: A Baby-Step on Social Media

Recently, my friends and I (a team of three, also includes an astrophotographer) created a page named “Our Night Doesn't Need So Much Light” on Facebook, as a mean to share awareness of light pollution, occurring in Kuala Lumpur (or abbreviated as ‘KL'). We are in line with the mission to search for suitable stargazing spots in this bright city.
