Founded in 2007, Astronomers Without Borders is the only organization connecting both professional and amateur astronomers worldwide. Together with a broad spectrum of people interested in world peace and science education, Astronomers Without Borders reminds all of us that we are united in our awe of the universe and our respect for all humankind. Hundreds of thousands of people from more than 100 nations have participated in Astronomers Without Borders' innovative programs, projects, and initiatives.

Astronomers Without Borders has had unprecedented growth in its first few years, quickly becoming a leader in astronomy outreach and education - all with a mostly volunteer effort. To expand its programs and undertake new ones, Astronomers Without Borders must now move to professional staffing with adequate resources to ensure that the work can continue.

We invite you to join our Founder's Circle, a group of special friends who will provide the crucial seed money required to establish and strengthen Astronomers Without Borders during these crucial transformative years.

Founder's Circle contributors are asked to consider three or five year pledges of $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 per year.  These total commitments of $3,000 to $25,000 will be recognized in perpetuity with invitations to special events, a special, permanent page on the AWB website dedicated to our Founder's Circle members, and other special benefits throughout the years.

If you wish, your Founder's Circle contributions can be acknowledged in honor or memory of a loved one.  You might also make a gift to an astronomy enthusiast or anyone who loves the night sky or believes in promoting understanding as a route to peace.

To become a Founder or for more information contact AWB President Mike Simmons.
