Grateful

Envious, I feel,
as I watch the Moon,
travel unrestricted
'cross the black of night.
Jealous I am,
of the birds outside unfettered
as they take to sky in flight.
Vulnerable, we are
to deadly unseen hosts,
Mankind's current viral plight.
Grateful I am
to find the comfort I need,
in each evening's bounty,
of endless starlight.
