Goiânia, home to the Gunstars, one of the cities close to the linear observation, had an incredible day of solar observation. On one of the very few times that the headquarters was opened to the general public. An afternoon of Astronomy with meteorite museum, Mineralogy of Star Evolution, plus the great show was the meeting of Sun and Moon in a partial eclipse. Since September 1st, 2020 I have been publishing lessons for the "Astronomy School for Beginners" every Tuesday on this Twitter page: https://twitter.com/GracaninLiliana There are lessons for adults, lessons for children, and astronomical coloring pages for young children. Every Saturday there is an exhibition with painted pictures of young children. So far we have had 14 lessons.The first test was two weeks ago. 73 people took the test for adults and 12 children took the test for children. Thus, we have concluded “Mars Observation Week_2020” and online photo-exhibition dedicated to the Red Planet being in opposition and shining effectively in the autumn sky. Greetings Astronomers! Did you ever think on make your own instruments accessories? Nowadays, alternatives for creating your own tools and materials are actually diverse. For some time, I wanted to buy some accessories for making Astrophotography. Hello Astronomers! When talking about taking care of instrumentation, we think on telescope cases for avoiding dust and sun exposure. This year was suitable for developing proper astronomy projects such as Astrophotography, observation reporting and maintenance of equipment. Therefore, one important thing I was planning for a while was the acquisition of cases for taking care of telescopes as they should. International Observe the Moon Night is a global event sponsored by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission and the Solar System Exploration Division of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, with many contributors. The Louis Cruls Astronomy Club organized here in our city, Campos dos Goytacazes, here in Brazil on September 25th, Friday, and September 26th,Saturday, an Astronomy Drive-in event. People participated from their cars. We had the support of the biggest Shopping Center of our city. We used the parking of the Shopping Center and project videos and images in a big screen. It was a big success!!! We had in each day the participation of more than 170 people in 45 cars. Read More...
Moon observation night 2020 was a great opportunity to highlight the commitment and the protagonism of our institution in Goias now besides a date for the observation of the full moon, we assume the commitment for a new project that we will affectionately call '' Lunatics '' once mes the Club opens the doors of its headquarters for observations of the crescent moon the same proposal of NASA with this incredible mobilization.
