Star Party 2020, Sri Lanka - The First Ever Astronomical Observation Competition & Workshop for High-School Students in South Asia
Introduction Star Party, Sri Lanka is the Largest High-School level Astronomical event in Sri Lanka and it is organized annually by Anandian Astronomical Association and Astronomical Society of Mahamaya Girls' College, Kandy which are the pioneering schools of Sri Lankan high-school based Astronomy. In every year, the event held in a specific day at Peradeniya University premises for 15 hours overnight. December 26, Annular Solar Eclipse Observing Public Camp at Ancient Jaffna Fort, Sri Lanka
Astronomical Research Institute, Sri Lanka (ARIS) collaborating with Anandian Astronomical Association, Star Party group and Mount K Adventure Resort organizes a public camp for observing the annular solar eclipse which will be happen on 26 th of December, 2019 and will be visible to Asia and Australia. We organize this event at ancient Dutch fort of Jaffna which is located in the Northern part of the Sri Lanka. Star Party 2019 | Kandy, Sri Lanka - Successfully Concluded
The largest Astronomical observation competition, workshop and Astrophotography Competition in Sri Lanka was successfully concluded for 15th consecutive year on 15th - 16th of February, 2019 at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka with the participation of more than 600 participants around the country. 32 teams comprising 5 students for each team were participated for the Astronomical observation competition and Richmond College , Galle awarded as the champions and won the Star Party 2019 trophy which is awarded for the best Astronomical observation team in Sri Lanka for 2019. The Largest Astronomical Competition in Sri Lanka - Star party 2019, Organizes for 15th consecutive year.
Star Party 2019, kandy , Sri Lanka Largest all island astronomical observation competition and workshop for high school students in Sri Lanka. Annually organized since 2004 by Anandian Astronomical Association and Astronomy Society of Mahamaya Girls's college kandy under the supervision of star party academic committee. In this year It is organized for 15th consecutive year.
