Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre
provides free courses and activities amount schools and the public in  Hong Kong.  We have an observatory with 0.5m telescope in suburban area.

During the IYA2009,  we provided major source of funding and human resourcesus in Hong-Kong node.
We and the voluntary local amateurs from different public astronomy societies successfully organized 70 large and small activities in the year ,  brought astronomy to the people who didn’t get into it before, and we successfully drew the attention of the public and the government on the light pollution issues, and ongoing discussion on light pollution legislation will be taken place in the future.
