April 18-24, 2016 The Universe. It's a catchphrase meaning “everything” or “all there is”. It's the ultimate in diversity. And the universal attraction of astronomy has led to a community as diverse as any. To celebrate that diverse community – all connected as One People, One Sky – AWB has multiple programs on tap for GAM 2016 under the banner of The Diverse Universe.
IASC Asteroid Search Campaign
March 31 - May 5, 2016 Astronomers Without Borders and the IASC are sponsoring a special asteroid search campaign as part of Global Astronomy Month (GAM2016) in April. Fifteen schools from around the world will be selected to participate in this campaign, which takes place from 31 March to 5 May, 2016. The International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC=”Isaac”) is an online educational outreach program for high schools and colleges, in which students make original astronomical discoveries.
