Astronomers Without Borders connects people worldwide through our common interest in the sky that we all share. The diverse AWB global community reflects the universal heritage of astronomy in all of Earth’s cultures. As we share our cultures and interests, we understand how, beneath the veneers of differing traditions and languages, we share our innermost needs and aspirations. We are fellow travelers on a small planet traversing an immense Universe, sharing the wonder of it all.

AWB programs are open to everyone, whether through local activities or online. But programs and activities are just the beginning. It is sharing what we do – whether together in real time, or later through reports, photos, and live discussions – where the community sets AWB programs apart from others. Sharing the sky is what brings us together, creating a true global community.
