Report

We ( Northeastern College Astronomical Society) had glorious weather for the morning session, here in Trinidad ( in west indies). First telescope was set up by 7am and the ingress was viewed. A science organisation  ( NIHERST) joined us with their Coranado Solar Telescopes. Over the course of the morning more than 230 persons ( mainly students) viewed Mercury's progress across the sun. From one of the Personal Solar Telescopes we could easily see prominances erupt from the sun's surface. By Lunch clouds rolled in and they decided to stay. It was a fantastic event and very well appreciated by all.
