Watching Mercury Transit - rare celestial event.

We at St.Philomena College, Puttur, affiliated to Mangalore University, India, set up our 6 inch reflecting type astronomical telescope and projected the Sun on white board and observed the rare celestial event - Mercury Transit on 9th of May from 4.45 pm onwards. we could see the "SUN SPOT" on the image of the sun and then a black dot - the mercury and its transition - as time pass.
