Star Gazing program at Saraswati Shishumandir Jamnagar

The program was organized to introduce primary students with visual night sky. At starting I show them Saptarishi(Ursa Major), Locating Polaris Arcturus Spica, Identifying Jupiter. After that I show them Jupiter and its four moons with a 6" reflector telescope. The time was almost ending, So parents were arrived to receive their kids. Star Party in Jamnagar

I organized a public program as star party near Amusement park in Jamnagar. As it was Sunday there was a huge rush of public visiting the Amusement park. So I was kept the 6" reflector telescope outside of the park. Approx 300 persons observed through telescope and watched the Jupiter. Astronomical Rangoli on Diwali

The Rangoli is an art work. The Diwali is the biggest festival in india. People make Rangoli with flowers, grains, sand colors etc during this festival. Sand color Rangolis are mostly created in compound of almost every home in Gujarat during Diwali. I created the Solar System Rangoli at my classes - Polaris Classes on Diwali 2016. The objective of making astronomical rangoli was to ingegrate festival celebrations to science popularization. GAM16 Star Party at Jamnagar

I organized a star party at Jamnagar on 16 Apr 2016 as part of Global Star Party of GAM 2016. The program was to show the constellations, zodiac belt and telescope observation. People show the Moon and Jupiter with its moons by a 6" reflector telescope. My computer science student helped me at site for management. We recorded the contact details of people who were more insterested in astronomy. Many people asked to show other objects in sky and many asked about when our next such program will be. Astronomy Day 2012 - Star party

Date: 28th April, 2012 Time: 20:00 to 23:00 IST (GMT+5:30). Location: Lakhota Lake, Jamnagar (Gujarat-India) Event description: This event was for observing the Saturn, Moon and constellations. 3" reflector telescope was used to show the rings of Saturn and the craters of Moon. Approx people attended the event: 170+. Other: It was public event. The pressnote was published in local newspaper to invite the people. No fees. clean weather. Organizer: Mr Dhiren K.
