In July 2014 I visited a few countries in the Balkan Peninsula, and the images I selected for this episode contain:
The Sun over the Danube River, seen from the Pancevo Bridge near Belgrade (Capital of Serbia).
Sunset over the Sava River, seen from the Kalemegdan Park (near the famous fortress of Belgrade).
Sunrise in Skopje, Capital of the Republic of Macedonia or the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (this being the northern part of historical Macedonia, the southern part being a province in Greece with the Capital in Thessaloniki). It is interesting that the national flag of this republic contains the model of a sun with eight rays.
Sunset in Boka Kotorska (Montenegro), known as the southernmost fiord in Europe.
Sunset in the Tara River Canyon (Montenegro), the deepest in Europe.
My special thanks to Alexandru Sebastian Grigore for his design.
