black hole Deirdre

Deeper than the sky,
Lough Bray holds dark memories
From forgotten dreams...

A black hole, perhaps,
Buried here in Ireland
Through years uncounted.

Upper Lough Bray is a corrie lake, or tarn, created by a glaicer during the Ice Age.  It is reputed to be very deep and there are some reports of a “monster” lurking in its waters. :-)   It is one of twin lakes, Upper and Lower Lough Bray on the slopes of Kippure Mountain, County Wicklow, Ireland.
