I went out the other night, looking south I saw a light.
Somehow, it seemed out of place, but all light are there by God's grace.
This star in Scorpius seemed so bright, I had to take out my telescope to capture its light.
I'm sure like me you would have been surprised to see a ball with rings in front of your eyes.

Galileo tried in vain to make out those rings, but his telescope just wouldn't show those things.
It wasn't till Huygens trained his scope that way that the truth was known about the ring display.
A further fact became known when Cassini saw a gap and put some Moons on the big map.
You've gone a billion miles my friend when you see Saturn again.

In olden times, as you might be aware, at Saturn the Solar System ended there.
Long ago, Saturn was considered a God, if they had known it had rings, they would have thought
that odd!

Saturn is number two in size, and in the telescope it fills your eyes.
So now I've seen the ring display, I guess I can put my telescope away.
