There is a Comet in the sky.
I think it has already passed by.
Gleaming as it goes, the melted
ice has again froze. With a
magnitude greater than 10, you
need a telescope to see it my
friend. Above Orion in the sky
this one is not so high. Polaris
is some distance away, to its
South the Comet will stay.
With my 10" reflector it is easy
to see, I hope you have a large
scope like me. Although the
Comet is far away, in my view it
will stay. Not for long that is true,
but long enough to see a change
or two.

This 120 second image of the comet was taken Dec. 2 by an iTelescope 50 mm refractor located at an observatory near Mayhill, New Mexico. The streak below the comet was produced by a rocket body (upper stage) passing through the telescope's field of view during the exposure.
