For Global Astronomy Month 2020 (28) - To “Asteroid Search Campaign”

To express our admiration for an excellent program of Global Astronomy Month, “Asteroid Search Campaign”, I tried an improvisation (fantasy) based on an interesting memory.

Thus in March 2019, together with the president of the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM), Valentin Grigore, and the vice-president of SARM, Cristian Danescu, I visited a strange valley (in Valcea County, Romania) famous for its “growing stones” named “trovants” by Romanians.

That mysterious place inspired my imagination to superpose computer simulations of journeys through the asteroid belt over the surrealistic landscape.

And I felt myself like on Ceres, Vesta, Pallas… or on an undiscovered asteroid!
