For Global Astronomy Month 2020 (101) - Expedition to Central Bucharest

In May 13, 2020, I returned, after seven weeks, to the central zone of beautiful Bucharest to solve a “legal” problem in the block of my departed parents, where I had taken several pictures for the Astropoetry Blog in the past (their apartment has a good view to east and north).

This time I took a “document” picture, with the most agglomerated (and polluted) Capital City in the European Union (in normal times) seeming to be empty of people (during the pandemic).

And I decided to transform my urban “expedition” into a tribute for my parents Steliana and Costică Gheorghe, remarkable culture lovers and astronomy supporters, just because they negotiated the position of my current apartment (with a good view to south) and also helped me to buy it in 1984.

A position which gave me the idea to start this project on the day of Spring Equinox 2020.
