On June 30, Valentin Grigore celebrated Asteroid Day 2020 through a special edition of the “Noi si Cerul” / Us and the Sky TV Show (two hour duration) with four important on-line guests: Cosmonaut Dumitru Prunariu, Mirel Birlan (a Romanian professional astronomer at the Paris Observatory, president of the Romanian National Astronomical Committee and expert in asteroids), Ovidiu Vaduvescu (a Romanian professional astronomer at the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes in the Canary Islands, leader of the European Near Earth Asteroids Research project - he normally uses Romanian teams of students and amateur astronomers for analyses, and names the asteroids they discover after Romanian personalities in astronomy) and Ovidiu's student Viki Pinter.

Is Asteroid Day
And I’d like to take champagne
With the entire world…
The scared and pompous fools
Would probably say:
“No way!”
But the normal sky lovers
Would be delighted:
“Dear friends, let’s make a fiesta
In a crater of Vesta!”
