Valentin Grigore (in the first image) organized the pandemic edition of SARM’s Perseid event (28th!) in two parts (end of July and mid-August) in Runcu Stone, an edition in which the participants had to respect the official sanitary rules.
After the maximum of the Perseid meteor shower, Dan Mitrut gave a special moment: a recital of astro-folk music, in which he launched a new song.
Here are the lyrics, adorned by the author’s photos, as an astro-photo-poetry adaptation:
PRAYER OF A METEOR FOR PEOPLE
Lyrics and photos by Dan Mitrut
(English translation from Romanian by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe)
Climb to the Sun to know who you are,
Look for the Moon to bewitch stories,
Pray to the stars - sacred flowers,
Use your wings, learn to fly.
Refrain 1:
Don’t waste the moments, life is a gift,
See the good road for you,
Shadows of thoughts are not borders,
The sky gate is open for dreams.
Refrain 2:
Don’t forget to sing
About my secret,
Longing for the earth,
Living fire and love.
Come to the place where
The man from you
And the falling star from me
Caress the horizon.
I am just the spark of an ideal,
You are the deed that will fulfill it.
We know that immortality is born only in painful life.
We know that only this moment exists.
Refrain 3:
I am a dream, you are a face,
I lose my brightness, you become stronger,
Don’t cry, man, just love
And don’t forget to sing about my secret,
Come back from the Sun to bewitch stories,
Look for the Moon to know who you are.
Prayer for people, as a meteor,
Use your wings to raise them in flight!
