Connie Walker was trained as an astronomer and is a science education specialist at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) in Tucson, Arizona. She directs the annual campaign, GLOBE at Night, which invites citizen-scientists to measure their local night sky brightness and contribute their measurements on-line to a world map of light pollution.
