Global Astronomy Month (GAM) is a follow-up to the unprecedented success of the
100 Hours of Astronomy cornerstone project of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 which was largely organized by Astronomers Without Borders. Held over four days in April 2009, that project was the largest single scientific outreach event ever held, with millions of people taking part. GAM 2010 will be even larger with the entire month of April bringing astronomy enthusiasts of all types out for a wide variety of activities. The theme of GAM 2010 is Astronomers Without Borders motto: One People, One Sky. Connections between astronomers around the world, allowing them to hold events together and share with others, is an important part of the program.
