The International Dark-Sky Association and Loch Ness Productions have created “Losing the Dark”, a short planetarium show about light pollution. The show is available at no charge for education. It introduces and illustrates some of the issues regarding light pollution, and suggests simple actions people can take to help mitigate it.

The show gives everyone who does astronomy outreach a tool to help educate the public about the problems of light pollution. The show is available for domed theaters and in flat screen in English, French, German, Hindi, Korean, Polish, and Spanish with more languages coming soon. More information and links to the free downloads are available at http://www.darksky.org/losingthedark or by contacting Scott Kardel of International Dark-Sky Association.
