Here at Saadat-shahr in April 1-7 we put the telescopes at popular streets of city to introduce the Moon and answer the questions of people.
Saadat-shahr, near to Pasargad World Heritage, is known as Astronomy Town in Iran because of a great passion to astronomy and skygazing among locals. Astronomy is involved with everyday life and culture here, after years of broad activity by the town's astronomy association which also resulted in Astronomical Society of Pacific 2006 Amateur Outreach Award for Asghar Kabiri, the leading astronomy educator in the town. Many wedding ceremonies end with star party and telescopic observation in Saadat-shahr; they occasionally switch off the whole town for their public observations; some taxis, doctors, and bakeries are free during the astronomy week; they have weekly sky report after the Friday's prayers in the main mosque; and they have named some of their streets after historic astronomers. About Me
Soheil Salimi was born on July 5, 1992 in Shiraz . From an early age, he has loved the environment and civil engineering. This great passion for engineering has led to an ambition to choose civil engineering as his major in academic studies. He entered Fasa University and achieved many awards during his undergraduate program such as Top Student of the Year Award in Civil Engineering and also ranked himself as the Excellent Student of Civil Engineering, Class of 2014.
