THIS POEM IS ABOUT THE MOON
By Anaya Agarwal, Ghaziabad, India
This poem is about the moon,
It is going to end soon.
The moon comes in the night,It does not have its own light.
The first man to go there was Neil Armstrong
Well, really am I wrong?
Now you know all about the moon well,
Go and ring the intelligence bell.
SUN AND PLANETS AND THE MOON
By Sara Kothari and Shiv Kanna, Ghaziabad, India
Sun and the planets and the moon,
Don’t think you’ll learn Astronomy soon.
The stars are so hot,
That they can boil iron in a pot.
Astronomy is fun,
It will take years to learn and then be done.
The revolution and rotation happens at a steady pace,
All this process is possible in space.
That’s all I have to say,
When you study astronomy, always say
Hoorrrrayyyyy....
WE ARE A TINY BIT
By Bhavia Tuli, New Delhi, India
we are a tiny bit
moving in an orbit
on the planet that we exist
harmful radiations it can resist
standing still on my station
i take a look up at constellations
orion, ursa minor-major
beneath it all, i am a small creature
stars shining sparkling bright
make me go on a dream flight
moon changing its phases
take it shape from sun rays
i wish i had a time taxi
so that i could make a trip to galaxy
MERCURY IS THE CLOSEST
By Diva Dutta, Sameeksha, Ghaziabad, India
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun,
Though I don’t think sitting on it would be much fun.
Venus is the sister planet of the Earth,
I wonder if it filthy and full of dirt.
Earth is our home planet, the only one with life
Where there are all the fruits ripe.
It is a red planet, yes it is Mars,
Don’t worry it is not like the yummy choco bars.
Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system yet,
I wish there are aliens there, so I can contact them on the internet.
Saturn the only planet, with all visible rings,
I wonder if there and people there which are queens and kings.
Uranus, one of the planets which is blue,
Do you, know how big it is, coz we don’t have a clue.
Our solar system has eight planets and Neptune is the last one,
Thank God we have finished writing planets one by one.
But not forgetting Pluto, Sun and the Moon,
We hope to write more poems very very soon.
MYSTERIOUS SPACE
by Linika, New Delhi, India
The space is so mysterious and vast
Having Sun, planets and stars,
We have so many thoughts
To become astronauts
We want to fly To capture the picture of the sky
The space is shy
I want to know why
I wish to live there
But there is no water and no air
The space is so dangerous
Because it is having comets, meteors and asteroids
IN THE UNIVERSE
By Sitya Jatia and Ishani Suri, Ghaziabad, India
In the universe,
There is no such thing as a curse
So go to the awesome place
Which is called as space,
We would love to go to space and see new sights,
And travel in the ISS, rigged with lights
Here comes 12th April known as Yuri's Night.
Oh! what a man he was, with strength and pride
There are so many things in space to see
We would like to go to space with all of you but be back for a tea.
