For Global Astronomy Month 2020 (108): Echo (2) - GAM Time Tunnel (1)

Venus, Sun, Moon… the three heavenly bodies which are reproduced on Romania’s coat of arms.

During my travel through the GAM time tunnel, I found them photographed by three important amateur astronomers.

Cosmin Sorin Miclos (a council member of SARM and a new symbol of amateur astronomy in Transylvania, nicknamed the “astronomer disciple” after the denomination of the association he leads in Miercurea Ciuc and Brasov) caught Venus (plus the Pleiades and other stars) on April 3, 2020, in superb natural environment in the Harghita County.

George Tanase (one of the most beloved members of SARM, nicknamed “a poet-photographer of the sky”) caught from his block the Sun during GAM 2020 in a panorama of the new zone of Targoviste (former Capital City of the Romanian Land or Wallachia).

Valentin Grigore (president of the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy-SARM and AWB national coordinator for Romania) caught the Moon on April 7, 2020, between an airplane and the balcony of Dracula’s Tower in Targoviste.

(Their original images are quite poetical in themselves.)

Venus, Sun and Moon -
Reflections over humankind,
Reflections in the soul of a fine country,
Reflections in my poor mind.
