THE TEARING SOUNDS
(July 7 - August 10, 2020)

During the pandemic summer of 2020
I remarked two kinds of sounds
tearing the city of Bucharest:
the bells of the churches
and the alarms of the ambulances.

In those days
I saw such a bell
even in the historical centre
and such an ambulance
right behind my block.
