Sharing Telescopes and Resources (STAR) is starting a pilot program.

Sharing Telescopes and Resources (STAR) is starting a pilot program. STAR gathers telesscopes and other resources that are no longer used and sends them to clubs that need them. STAR will expand individual efforts into a global program that will help everyone get ready for the International Year of Astronomy 2009. Beyond providing the telescopes, AWB will encourage donors and recipients to stay in contact, work together and learn about their fellow astronomers in other countries who share their passion for astronomy. STAR is a core program of Astronomrs Without Borders - sharing the one sky we all have in common.
