Jupiter makes its closest approach to Earth on April 7, 2017, as it reaches opposition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opposition_(planets)). It will appear brightest during this period and offers a befitting opportunity to explore the planet and its Great red spot (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Red_Spot) with its bright moons viz. Callisto, Europa, Io and Ganymede.

We will have a close look at Jupiter and its four moons using our 6" reflecting telescope.
