On July 16, 1969, 8:32 AM GMT-5, the NASA astronaut crew of Apollo 11--Neil Armstrong (Commander), Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Collins--launched atop the gigantic Saturn V rocket from Pad 39A at NASA/Kennedy Space Center to embark on their phenomenal journey to the Moon.
