Coconut Grove-Picnic Island Star Party

The Star Party will be held on Picnic Island "C" near Dinner Key in Coconut Grove, a suburb of Miami Florida, which is a public Island for use by the general public.

The Star Party event is a free event and will include public viewing through a telescope at the Moon and Lyrids Meteor Showers if viewable. In the event of bad weather the event will be cancelled due to equipement damage. There is no rain date for this event!

The Picnic Islands is a public park and is available by "water taxi" for a discounted price during the event only from Dinner Key Public Landing (3400 Pan American Drive) to Island "C' and a return trip. (Limited private transportation is allowed due park rules and liabilities, so public transportation is required due to licensing). Parts of the island are reserved for local traffic with docking for off-loading only!
