The new edition of the Cosmic Concert, an online musical performance for GAM2018, will be performed by the Italian pianist and composer Giovanni Renzo. Cosmic Concert 2018 is a collection of compositions and improvisations conceived as a visual and poetic exploration of the universe. About Bettina Forget
Bettina Forget is a visual artist, gallery owner, and art educator whose research explores the intersection of art and science. Forget owns and runs Visual Voice Gallery, which presents contemporary art exhibitions which create a dialogue between art and science. She is also the Art-Science Researcher for the SETI Institute's Artist-in-Residence (A.I.R.) program in California, and artist-in-residence at the Mont-Mégantic Observatory in Quebec. Bettina Forget's creative work focuses on space sciences, inspired by her avid engagement with amateur astronomy. She has exhibited her artwork in the USA, Canada, Germany, Iceland, Singapore, and Nicaragua.

But if you really want to get acquainted with the Moon, the best way is to draw it. During her Sketching the Moon workshop, artist Bettina Forget will share some of her tips and tricks for drawing lunar features. All you'll need is a pencil and some paper. TODAY: Walking on the Moon Virtual Telescope Tour - Including Lunar Features Named for Women! April 23rd, 18:30 UT
The moon will seem close enough to touch during The Virtual Telescope Project's remote, online lunar observing session. As part of the tour, we'll explore the Moon's feminine side. Italian astrophysicist Gianluca Masi and Canadian artist Bettina Forget will take us on a special tour of lunar features named for women. Bettina will be conducting a Sketching the Moon workshop on April 29th as a follow-up to this very special program.
