Astronomical association - Sofia is a non-governmental organisation, founded in 1994 by a group of young and enthusiastic people. Our main activities are:

-- publication of a monthly magazine for popular astronomy "AndromedA" (since 1994)

-- publication of a weekly  newspaper for popular astronomy  "the Telescope" (since 1999)

-- open access public observations with telescopes

-- organise courses on astronomy and astrophotography

-- publication of popular science books, movies, posters, etc.

-- organise photographical exhibition on astronomy topics

-- organise astro-parties and summer schools on observational astronomy

-- make the effort to create an astronomy centre with a planetarium in Sofia, Bulgaria
