The Astronomy Club "Centauri" of Itapetininga is a brazilian association of Science with the purpose of scientific divulgation and gather the astronomers of the region.The astronomy club was conceived and designed from 2014, consolidating in March 2015 with the acquisition of the first telescope club, Sky Watcher 70mm refractor able to expand up to 140 times. The club holds astronomical observations, scientific lectures, scientific dissemination on the Internet and schools.The partner institutions of the Club are: NASA(National Aeronautics and space administration), UFSCar(Federal University of São Carlos), IFSP(Federal Institute of São Paulo), ASTROCAN(Astronomy Club of Nhandeara) and CEI(High School - Educational cooperative of Itapetininga)
