The Romanian Society for Cultural Astronomy (SRPAC) aims at promoting cultural astronomy through research and educational activities. Cultural astronomy is defined as a set of interdisciplinary areas which study current and ancient astronomical systems. These include: archaeoastronomy, history of astronomy, ethnoastronomy, and historical astronomy.
Our society has members around the country. Teachers, scholars, and amateurs join us to promote the skies and their history through public events and in scientific venues.
