As I was searching for a theme to guide me into novel jaunt, enough of a creative beam that would imagination haunt perhaps a scene sidereal I hadn't written on before celestially ethereal with research questions to explore, at once a Hubble view appeared, ‘a pocketful of stars' ‘twas named, which to my fantasies adhered and thence my motivation claimed. I thought I'd have some fun with it and give myself the latitude to take a thought and run with it in freer flowing attitude. Suppose I had a pocketful of starry wishes I could cast along with rainbow rocket...

A PANDEMIC FRIEND Astro-photo-essay by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe, with the participation of a guest poet In March 2020 I remarked a new neighbor with philosophical valence, a good man who wanted to resist through poetry against the pandemic. During our long talks in the back of the block, I tried to transform him into my disciple, but it was hard, when I told him about the importance of grammar, general culture, history and variety of poetry, and even elementary astronomy he didn't listen to me too much. Then in September 2020 he left Bucharest for another opportunity in the province,...

ANDROMEDA By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (poem) and Valentin Grigore (photo) CHAINED WOMAN'S FASCINATION Princess, galaxy and constellation… but you're only one being! CONSTELLATION I greet Claudius Ptolemy, who listed you among the constellations in the 2nd century. I'd put a crown of flowers on your head, the star Alpheratz, at the risk of being burned, Andromeda! GREAT NEBULA I greet Simon Marius, who observed you through a telescope in the 17th century. Although you “have become” a galaxy in the meantime, you continue to remain as beautiful as a nebula, Andromeda! GALAXY I greet all those who have identified you...

AROUND THE TEACHERS' HOUSE Astro-photo-poem (cosmopoem) by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe On August 10, 2020, I walked around the Teachers' Central House, a building made in the Neo-Romanian style in 1912 (architect Constantin Iotzu). On its walls I saw a traditional floral-solar symbol. The next day I dedicated a photo-series of the sunrise to that entire (human and material) concept. (Discussing in a cosmic way: if the parents are always supernovae, the teachers are the first suns who illuminate people's lives.)
