Who We Are?

We are a group of amateur astronomy lovers from Patna. The club runs with the following aims:

1. Learn and develop understanding of astronomy as a science and as an interest.
2. Spread awareness among common people especially students about the facts and myths related to astronomical events and occurring.
3. To revive the legacy of Patna as a center of astronomical recreation, research and interests.
4. Providing opportunities for the pleasure and benefits of an organisation of amateur and professional astronomers.
5. Popularizing interest and awareness in Astronomy through public and media outreach. Making astronomy more visible, accessible and enjoyable for public.
6. Encouraging astronomical education, recreation and research. Providing assistance and outreach to primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions.

What do we do?

We organise and conduct various astronomical events, camps, workshops and visits in Patna.

1. Organise Astronomy and Telescope Making Workshops in schools and colleges.
2. Organise and Host Public Lectures of Astronomical Topics.
3. Organise Sky Watching Camps and Astrophotography Contests.
4. Visits to Science centers and other scientific facilities.
