The Astronomy Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was initiated on March 2017 with the aim of producing young astronomers and scientists who apply the knowledge of Astronomy for the betterment of the society and humanity as a whole. It is now open to all undergraduates of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and currently consists of an active member base of more than 500 memberships. The club conducts its weekly sessions every Thursday, 3.00 pm-5.00 pm at the Faculty of Applied Sciences premises.

We as a club, strive towards with the vision of producing well educated, scientific and effective personalities to the society who are drawn to Astronomy and basic sciences.
