ASTRONOMY CLUB OF TULSA
Since its founding in 1937, the Astronomy Club of Tulsa has been conducting astronomy education and outreach opportunities to the greater Northeastern Oklahoma area. Currently, the Astronomy Club of Tulsa promotes the science of astronomy and education to the general public through their various events such as: monthly star parties, presentations, Sidewalk Astronomy, club meetings, and private group star parties. 30 miles south of downtown Tulsa sits ACT's Ronald McDonald's Children's Charity Observatory, built in 1992 warehouses a Meade 14 inch RCX telescope in the 22 foot elevated dome.
