The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club meets at St Paul Lutheran Church in Lanesville, at 8:00 pm on the second Friday of every month, for presentations, discussions and activities related to observational astronomy. The church is located at 1123 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA.
The purpose of the club is to promote an appreciation and understanding of the night sky, to provide a forum for learning and to secure opportunities for observing. There are no dues, and no elected officers. The club’s direction and a schedule of speakers & programs are set each quarter by a steering committee comprised of volunteers.
