The French Ambassador in Iraq, Boris Bouillon:"I will support AAAK!"
In a series of cultural and scientifically activities held by the (French Cultural Center) of (the French consulate in Erbil), the Centre make an unique exhibition on 10/13/2010 entitled (Sky: "Mirror of Cultures" - Ciel, Miroir des Cultures) brought together a collection of paintings, manuscripts, ancient astrological which reflect the ideas and opinions and beliefs of different civilizations on astronomy and cosmology in general around the world. MOON THROUGH CLOUDS!... InOMN in Iraq
There was clouds, a heavy one right after noon of September 18.2010, it takes only few hours after a thunder storm with heavy showers, local dusty strong wind blow and then muddy rain! We were hopeless for a little while to see Moon again after cloudy dusk, but we decide to take the telescope inside Minara Central Park in Erbil city at 06:00 pm local. Iraqis and Gulf people together…Welcomed the Giant Planet!
It was truly very wonderful evening and very different than in the (InOMN) event at 09/18/2010. Jupiter, was at the closest point to Earth on 20 and 09.21.2010 and the title of this activity was (Let's Welcome the Giant), and proudly joined us (Emirates mobile Astronomical Observatory) which designed and made by the pride of amateur astronomers (Nizar Sallam) and the active astronomical researcher from Bahrain (Ali Al-Hijre), who also initiated the process of monitoring Jupiter at that evening. THE 41st ANNIVERSARY OF APOLLO 11 LANDING ON THE MOON IN ERBIL

WE SAID: "YES TO PEACE!"
A Match under Starlight in Iraqi Kurdistan Region Finally after long time of announcing and preparing for it, here we are, in the day of play the match on July 7 2010. Players arrived and before the match beginning we made a small opining ceremony, standing with respect beside the flags of the countries that agree to joining in that activity and listening to their national anthems, even if they couldn't made it for a reason or another, still they are AWB's most active people! WORLD MUSIC DAY AND SWB3!
After a very hot week with temperatures reached to 47C degree! Finally the weather conditions became excellent. Wonderful day it was! When we went to Minara Park in the middle of Erbil city for our SWB3 activity, music was every where inside the park! That's because French Cultural Center celebrated with World Music Day which it is on June 22 in every year.
